Week 6 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Thursday

Bears QB Jay Cutler (right thumb) missed practice again Thursday. Brian Hoyer is playing well and should continue to start, even when Cutler gets fully healthy.

Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo (right shoulder) took limited practice reps again Thursday.

Browns QB Cody Kessler (chest, rib) took full practice reps Thursday after being limited Wednesday. Kessler will start Week 6.

Colts QB Andrew Luck (right shoulder) was added to the injury report Thursday after taking limited practice reps. The Colts are probably just managing Luck’s practice reps to allow his shoulder to get the rest it needs.

Browns QB Josh McCown (left shoulder) took limited practice reps again Thursday.

Panthers QB Cam Newton (concussion) took full practice reps Thursday after being limited Wednesday. Newton will make his return in a nice matchup with the Saints.

Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (concussion) took full practice reps Thursday. Palmer is expected to return this week. It’s good news for the entire Arizona offense.

Jets QB Bryce Petty (right shoulder) took full practice reps Thursday.

Cowboys QB Tony Romo (back) missed practice again Thursday.

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson (ankle, knee) practiced fully Wednesday. Wilson “looks great,” per HC Pete Carroll. No worries here.
