Week 2 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Wednesday

Bills QB Cardale Jones (right shoulder, questionable) took limited practice reps Wednesday.

Jets QB Bryce Petty (right shoulder, out) did not practice Wednesday.

Cowboys QB Tony Romo (back) did not practice Wednesday. Dak Prescott will continue to start for the Cowboys.

Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Charles is reportedly playing with the scout team, which isn’t a good sign for his Week 2 availability. Spencer Ware figures to carry the load against the Texans.

Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon (knee) did not practice Wednesday.

Dolphins RB Arian Foster (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday. Foster’s absence is a bit worrisome given his history of soft-tissue injuries. Even though Jay Ajayi was inactive last week, he’s the best bet to assume RB1 carries if Foster can’t play.

Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (quadricep) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Freeman has found himself in a committee with Tevin Coleman. An injury could cause him to lose the RB1 by attrition.
