Sneaky Starts: Week 13

All but the luckiest fantasy owners need to find the proverbial diamond in the rough at some point – a waiver wire or bench player capable of putting up some points in a pinch. This weekly feature is dedicated to that part of fantasy football. It's not pretty, but it's part of the game.

Quarterbacks

Owners who have Colin Kaepernick can continue to start him. He’s the #7 QB since he took over as the starter in Week 6.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jets (vs. IND)
Fitzpatrick managed 269 yards and two scores against the Patriots, looking more like last year's version than the 2016 edition. He has another good matchup this week against the Colts, who are last in the league in QB aFPA.

Alex Smith, Chiefs (@ ATL)
Smith is not trustworthy, but as a road dog in a matchup with a shaky Falcons secondary (sans top corner Desmond Trufant), he's likely to pass more than usual.

Matt Barkley, Bears (vs. SF)
Barkley surprisingly produced a nice fantasy line last week against the Titans (316 yards, 3 TD, 2 INT) and has a great matchup this week against the 49ers (#30 in QB aFPA).
