With a fair amount of predictable, cheap value at the skill positions, Week 13 sets up well for a studs and duds approach to roster construction. This method, also known as the barbell approach, a phrase popularized in Nassim Taleb’s Antifragile, combines top-tier players who have reliable floors and very high ceilings with affordable players that can easily exceed value but won’t kill your entire lineup if things don’t go as expected.

QB Aaron Rodgers $6,700 vs HOU

Although he’s scored the second-most DK PPG this year, Aaron Rodgers is priced sixth on the main slate. Green Bay is favored by six and projected to score over 25 points, and most of those points are likely to come through the air. Over the last six weeks, Rodgers leads all quarterbacks in Red Zone Expected Value and 87% of the Packers' red zone touchdowns this year have come through the air, the highest rate in the league.
