Week 12 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Friday

Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (right shoulder) took full practice reps all week. Bortles will be fine for a not-so-great Week 12 matchup with the Bills.

Patriots QB Tom Brady (knee, questionable) returned to take limited reps Friday after missing practice earlier in the week and is questionable for Week 12. We’d be shocked if Brady didn’t play through the knee injury, but stranger things have happened. The Patriots play in the late round of games, so hopefully we get more clarity by Sunday morning.

Bears QB Jay Cutler (right shoulder, doubtful) missed practice all week and is doubtful for Week 12. Matt Barkley will start, so fire up the Tennessee defense.

Bengals QB Andy Dalton (right shoulder) took full practice reps again Friday. Dalton should be able to play through the shoulder injury. The larger concern is that he’ll be without top wideout A.J. Green.

Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (knee) took full practice reps all week. Fitzpatrick will start against the Patriots.

Browns QB Cody Kessler (concussion, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 12. Josh McCown gets the start this week against the Giants. That’s good news for Gary Barnidge, who has produced at a higher rate with McCown at quarterback.

Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (not injury related) took full practice reps again Friday. Palmer will be fine for a date with the Falcons.

Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (left shoulder) took full practice reps all week.

Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (right shoulder) took full practice reps all week. Taylor will be fine to face the Jaguars.

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson (knee) took full practice reps again Thursday. Wilson is emerging as a top five down-the-stretch option for the second straight season.
