Mike is an IDP veteran, writing about and ranking IDP for over six seasons. He finished 6th in overall IDP rankings and 1st overall In LB rankings in 2014 at FantasyPros. When he's not poring over IDP depth charts, he can be found agonizing over his Cleveland sports teams.

I can't believe we're headed into Week 11, and I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week! Hopefully, the fantasy playoffs are a possibility for most of you, so it's time to shore up your rosters and prepare for the stretch run. Let's take a look at the waiver wire and see which defenders could still be available, and then analyze some of my favorite matchup plays for Week 11.

IDP Waiver Wire

Defensive Line

Robert Ayers, DE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (27 snaps/48 percent)

Ayers has battled injuries throughout the year, however, he made his presence felt this past week. Ayers abused the Chicago offensive line to the tune of 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble. Fantasy owners probably lost some patience with Ayers with his injuries, and if he’s on your wire, now is the time pick him up. I see his snap rate being ramped up over the next few weeks.

Trey Flowers, DE, New England Patriots (61 snaps/87 percent)

Flowers has really picked his game up over the last two games and Coach Bill has noticed. He saw a big increase in snaps, at the expense of Jabaal Sheard on Sunday. Over the last two games, Flowers is generating a near 17-percent QB pressure rate and it’s led to four sacks.

Linval Joseph, DT, Minnesota Vikings (47 snaps/75 percent)

Joseph should be looked at in DT-required leagues, if he’s available. In two of his last three games, he’s produced 10 or more fantasy points and in 399 defensive snaps, is producing a 10.2-percent tackle rate. He’s a disrupter up the middle and is worth a look in tackle-heavy scoring formats.

William Hayes, DE, Los Angeles Rams (39 snaps/65 percent)

Since the bye week, Hayes has consecutive weeks of 10 or more fantasy points and notched his second sack of the year. He’s been one of the most under-rated rushers on the Rams defense, generating a near 11-percent QB pressure rate.
