FanDuel Week 7 Cash Game Breakdown

I like to look at site salaries as soon as they come out, just to formulate some initial thoughts on players and lineup construction before I jump into heavy research. This week, a few things became immediately clear. Firstly, a RB combo of Devonta Freeman and Todd Gurley looks to be miles ahead of any other combo. Secondly, Antonio Gates looks again to be the best cash game play by far. And third, Larry Fitzgerald is still criminally underpriced. All four of those guys will be staples in my cash lineups in Week 7. With Marcus Mariota (knee) possibly missing this week's game, Zach Mettenberger comes into play as a viable punt play at QB at only $5,900. Landry Jones is also in play as a punt at $6,000, but there's more risk involved with him. (Note: The players blurbed below work best if you punt QB with one of the two aforementioned options. As TJ Hernandez mentioned on the DFS MVP Podcast, Donte Moncrief and Eric Decker are also fine WR plays at their price points of $6,500 and $6,200, respectively, with the TD being hevily emphasized on FanDuel.) With a week to game plan, Pittsburgh may build another game plan intended to hide their QB by taking the air out of the ball.

QB Carson Palmer $8,200 vs. BAL

Averaging 290 passing yards per game and tied for second in the league in TD percentage, Palmer faces off against the Ravens, who have allowed the most fantasy points per game in the league to opposing QBs. The Ravens have allowed 340 or more passing yards in four of six games; the only two games where they didn’t, they faced noodle-armed Peyton Manning and the ghost of Michael Vick. Baltimore's pass rush has been nonexistent since losing Terrell Suggs, and their secondary has struggled with Jimmy Smith not performing at the same level he was prior to his 2014 season-ending foot injury.
