Week 4 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Thursday

Saints QB Drew Brees (right shoulder) took limited practice reps again Thursday. We’re tentatively expecting Brees to return in Week 4. The Cowboys have been a bad matchup for opposing quarterbacks (5th in aFPA).

Bears QB Jay Cutler (hamstring) took limited practice reps again Thursday. There is an outside chance that Cutler can play, but he’s expected to miss Week 4. Jimmy Clausen likely gets the start against the Raiders.

Colts QB Andrew Luck (right shoulder) took limited practice reps again Thursday. Luck’s shoulder injury might explain the so-so production thus far. He’s still a good start at home against Jacksonville, though he isn’t the “must-start” he usually is. The team is not “overly concerned” per reports.
