Essential Practice News & Notes: Divisional Round

Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 19. Brady will be fine to face the Chiefs.

Broncos QB Peyton Manning (foot, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 19. Manning is set to start against the Steelers.

Broncos QB Brock Osweiler (knee, questionable) returned to take limited reps Friday after missing practice earlier in the week and is questionable for Week 19.

Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (right finger, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 19. Palmer will be fine to face the Packers.

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (right shoulder, questionable) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week and is questionable for Week 19. Roethlisberger is expected to play, but isn’t close to 100% at this point. It’s a tough matchup against Denver, but the Steelers went pass-heavy when they played the Broncos in Week 15. Roethlisberger attempted 55 passes and threw for 380 yards and three touchdowns. He will be without his top weapon since Antonio Brown is out.

Steelers RB Will Johnson (hamstring, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 19.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (rib, probable) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week and is probable for Week 19. Lacy should continue to play through the injury.

Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (abdomen, probable) took full practice reps again Thursday and is probable for Week 19. Lynch says he’s “ready” for this weekend’s game against the Panthers. Lynch carried the ball 17 times for 54 yards and a TD in his Week 6 meeting with Carolina.

Broncos RB Juwan Thompson (illness, probable) was limited Friday after taking full reps earlier in the week and is probable for Week 19.

Seahawks RB Will Tukuafu (hamstring, doubtful) missed practice again Thursday and is doubtful for Week 19.

Chiefs RB Spencer Ware (ankle, questionable) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week and is questionable for Week 19. Ware figures to play against the Patriots. Ware out-touched Charcandrick West 16-to-9 last week against the Texans, and he also out-touched West 16-to-14 in Week 17. The ankle injury makes him tough to count on this week, however.

Panthers RB Fozzy Whittaker (ankle, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 19.

Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams (foot, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 19. Fitzgerald Toussaint and Jordan Todman would split the work in the Pittsburgh backfield.

Packers WR Davante Adams (knee, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 19. Adams had a very good game against Washington, but went down with a knee injury in the second half. Jared Abbrederis would likely play 70% of the snaps with Adams out.

Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 19. Amendola should be able to play, but he’ll take a backseat to Julian Edelman this week.

Steelers WR Antonio Brown (concussion, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 19. With Brown out, Martavis Bryant, Markus Wheaton and Darrius Hayward-Bey will get a bump, but this is a bad matchup against a good Denver pass defense.

Patriots WR Julian Edelman (foot, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 19. Edelman says he’ll be at “full throttle” on Saturday. He’s been out a while, so we’re not expecting his usual production.

Panthers WR Ted Ginn (knee, questionable) missed practice Friday and is questionable for Week 19. Ginn should be good to go for a tough matchup with Seattle.

Patriots WR Brandon LaFell (foot, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 19.

Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (ankle, questionable) missed practice all week and is questionable for Week 19. We don’t believe Maclin will play this week, but we’ll know for sure when inactives are released on Saturday.

Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (hamstring, questionable) took full practice reps again Friday and is questionable for Week 19.

Patriots TE Scott Chandler (knee, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 19.

Broncos TE Owen Daniels (knee, knee, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 19.

Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee, back, questionable) returned to take limited reps Friday after missing practice Thursday and is questionable for Week 19. Gronkowski’s right knee is bothering him, but the return to Friday practice indicates that he’ll play against the Chiefs

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (groin, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 19. Kelce should be good to go to face the Patriots. He’s coming off of a big game and may see double digit targets, especially if Jeremy Maclin is out.

Packers TE Justin Perillo (hamstring, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 19.

Packers TE Andrew Quarless (knee, out) missed practice Friday after taking limited reps Thursday and is out for Week 19.

Packers TE Richard Rodgers (hip, probable) took limited practice reps all week and is probable for Week 19.

Steelers TE Matt Spaeth (not injury related, probable) returned to take full practice reps Friday after missing practice Thursday and is probable for Week 19.

Seahawks TE Luke Willson (concussion, probable) took full practice reps again Thursday and is probable for Week 19.
