DraftKings Week 14 Cash Game Breakdown

SUNDAY UPDATE: With Rob Gronkowski (knee) making the trip to Houston for an 8:30 PM start, Scott Chandler becomes a risky play to use in cash games. The best option according to our projections would be to pivot to Zach Miller ($2,700), our top value at TE, and use the extra salary to bump up from Eric Decker to Brandon Marshall ($7,600). Although the projected point gain isn't as great, another potential option that I like is pivoting to Miller at TE and then bumping up from Doug Baldwin to Martavis Bryant ($5,700). Miller is questionable but fully expected to start with Martellus Bennett on IR, but if he unexpectedly does not play, we have Austin Seferian-Jenkins ($2,700) projected only 0.4 points lower.

Buccaneers-Saints is the only game with an over/under of 50 or more, which means targeting players against New Orleans is again a starting point in cash games. The Saints have permitted 425 total yards per game and 3.7 offensive TDs per game, both last in the NFL. They also rank last in the league in yards per play allowed (6.6) by nearly a half-yard over the next poorest team. You will not be surprised at all by the first two names below. Also note that Antonio Brown ($8,900), Thomas Rawls ($5,800), and the Chiefs ($3,200) are perfectly acceptable replacements for Odell Beckham, LeSean McCoy, and the Seahawks, respectively.

QB Jameis Winston $5,500 vs. NO

It’s Winston’s turn against a New Orleans defense that ranks above no one in QB aFPA. The Saints also rank last in QB rating allowed (116.6) and passing TDs per game allowed (2.9), and second to last in passing yards per game allowed (287.4). With an implied team total of 27 this week, the Bucs are projected 4.4 points above their season average of 22.6 points per game. That bodes well for Winston, who has accounted for 85% of Tampa Bay’s offensive TDs this season.
