Sneaky Starts: Week 11

As injuries and bye weeks pile up, all but the luckiest fantasy owners at some point need to find the proverbial diamond in the rough -- a waiver wire or bench player who is capable of putting up some points in a pinch. This weekly feature is dedicated to that part of fantasy football. It's not pretty, but it's part of the game.

Week 10's Sneaky Starts included Ryan Fitzpatrick (QB8), Andre Brown (RB11), Marcel Reece (RB17), Jacquizz Rodgers (RB26), Jonathan Dwyer (RB27), Daniel Thomas (RB31), Darrius Heyward-Bey (WR10), Donald Jones (WR12), Brian Hartline (WR30), Scott Chandler (TE5), Kyle Rudolph (TE6) and Brandon Myers (TE15).

Now that we have at least four weeks of data, we're able to use Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) by position. For more detail, click here.

Note: These recommendations do not override our weekly rankings, which are updated throughout the week and weekend.

Raiders QB Carson Palmer (vs. NO)
Palmer has produced some big fantasy lines over the last few weeks -- 328 yards and 2.0 TDs in his last five games -- and that figures to continue in Week 11 against the Saints, who are #31 in QB aFPA.

Eagles QB Nick Foles (@ WAS)
Michael Vick is sidelined with a concussion, so Foles takes over as the starter in a nice matchup with the Redskins, who are #27 in QB aFPA this season. Normally, we'd like to see more of Foles before recommending him as a start, but the Eagles have a ton of weapons and he was solid (219 yards, TD) in relief of Vick in Week 10.

Raiders RB Marcel Reece (vs. NO)
Reece led the Raider RBs in touches (20) in Week 10 and produced 104 total yards. This week, he faces the Saints, who have been awful against the rush this season. New Orleans did smother the Atlanta running game last week, but it's doubtful that they will be able to completely shut down Reece, who can do serious damage in the passing game.
