as of Tuesday May 2, 2006

San Francisco 49ers

1(6) Vernon Davis TE	Maryland
1(22) Manny Lawson LB	NC State
3(84) Brandon Williams WR	Wisconsin
4(100) Michael Robinson WR	Penn State
5(140) Parys Haralson DE	Tennessee
6(175) Delanie Walker WR	Central Missouri St.
6(192) Marcus Hudson S	NC State
6(197) Melvin Oliver DE	LSU
7(254) Vickiel Vaughn S	Arkansas

Day One Analysis: There may not have been a team with a better first round
than the 49ers with two huge impact players in Vernon Davis and Manny
Lawson. Both are ROY of the year candidates on their respective sides of the
ball. Brandon Williams seemed like an odd choice.

Day Two Analysis: The first two selections were solid in Michael Robinson and
Parys Haralson but there was little to talk about afterward. The last three picks
made by the 49ers seemed to draw very little interest from other teams, they
could have been undrafted free agents.

Fantasy Impact: Davis and Lawson both scream for top picks in your IDP and
Dynasty Leagues. Michael Robinson will probably contribute down the road.

Overall Grade: B
