MINNESOTA VIKINGS POST DRAFT ANALYSIS

as of Tuesday May 2, 2006

Minnesota Vikings

1(17) Chad Greenway LB	Iowa
2(48) Cedric Griffin CB	Texas
2(51) Ryan Cook C	New Mexico
2(64) Tarvaris Jackson QB	Alabama State
4(127) Ray Edwards DE	Purdue
5(149) Greg Blue S	Georgia

Day One Analysis: Chad Greenway was targeted by the Vikings after the
Broncos beat them to the punch in trading with the Rams at #11 in order
to get Jay Cutler. Greenway is a safe selection who is very versatile. I thought
the moves made by the Vikings to get three picks in the second round were
all very good. Griffin was a pick much like Greenway…very safe. Ryan Cook is
a big prospect who can play a number of positions and Tarvaris Jackson is a
player that a lot of teams were apparently interested in. Overall the first draft
for Brad Childress is going well.

Day Two Analysis: The Vikings only received two selections on day two but
from a value standpoint they made the most of it. Ray Edwards and Greg
Blue both went later than expected and have a lot of untapped potential.

Fantasy Impact: Chad Greenway is worth considering in your IDP draft but
Tarvaris Jackson is a couple of years away from seeing any game time in the NFL.

Overall Grade: A-
