Week 5 – David Wilson vs. Philadelphia
Bit by bit, David Wilson is looking a little better. After doing very little with 11 carries in Week 3, Wilson did a modest amount with 13 carries against a tough Chiefs defense last week. He ended up with 55 yards and he added eight more on two receptions.
Wilson’s backup, Da’Rel Scott, was released this week from the team, which might be an indication that Wilson has at least one foot out of the doghouse in New York. He has every opportunity to shine this week against an Eagles defense that’s giving up over 120 yards per game on the ground and has been vulnerable to big plays. We have Wilson ranked 21st this week, cautiously anticipating a breakout game for the second year speedster against the first real vulnerable defense the Giants have faced this season. He should be viewed as a low-end RB2 option.
