Cowboys' opponents did a better job of taking Jason Witten out of games in the second half of the season. They often used bracket coverage against Witten by covering him with a safety over the top and a linebacker underneath.

Witten had only one touchdown catch over the Cowboys' last eight games. Of his five touchdown catches, the first three were for 1 yard each.

Witten was targeted an average of 8.9 times over the first eight games and only 5.8 times over the last eight games of the season.

Week 17 - Witten @ NYG

Witten was kept out of the endzone for the fifth straight game last week and held to just four catches for 24 yards vs. Philly.

He faces a Giants defense that allows 255.4 passing yards per game and 26TDs on the season. Witten had his worst game of the season (3-12) three weeks ago against the Giants.

Witten is 5th in our rankings but has really struggled the last month. He's hard to ignore as one of the better tight ends in the league but if you're not required to play a tight end, keep your distance.
