NFL Regular Season

Looking For A
Weekly Bargain?

4for4 watching Bulger at Camp
 this year.

Each week you’ll find a cross section of studs and journeymen in this report. In addition, you might even find a player that looks to be a real reach. Regardless of their current status, all the men on this report have one thing in common --- they all look to be bargains --- this week.

Note: this report does not override our Sortable Weekly Cheat Sheets. In fact, it’s based on it. Here we're highlighting the bargains --- players we likely have ranked higher than most of your competitors.

NFL Week #9

QB Aaron Rodgers vs. Titans (4for4 Weekly Rank = 5, Avg Site = 9)
Rodgers has done everything asked of him (and more) so far this season. Halloween week might prove a little scary for Rodgers' owners; with the Titans allowing just 185 yards passing/game (4th in the NFL). Still, many are overacting to the Tennessee defense this week.

Green Bay's receivers are all healthy, and they've had an extra week to prepare for this tough game. These guys are the kings of YAC, so even short completions can go the distance and that can earn you some extra points.

Even if the Titans manage to slow Jennings and Driver, Jordy Nelson, James Jones, and Donald Lee provide quality options for Rodgers. Even if you assume Rodgers gets 85-90% of his usual numbers in this one, he’s still starting material.

WR Greg Jennings vs. Titans (4for4 Weekly Rank = 6, Avg Site = 13)
The Packers have had a week to prepare for this match-up and Jennings will get his chances. One scenario has Green Bay coming out in 4-5 WR sets to challenge the Titans, and spread the coverage. Another has the Packers using draws and screens to slow the pass rush. Either way, Jennings seems undervalued in this spot.

WR Kevin Walter vs. Vikings (4for4 Weekly Rank = 18, Avg Site = 29)
The success that star Texan Andre Johnson has had has trickled down to Kevin Walter. Last week we had Walter in this space as a weekly bargain (4for4 Weekly Rank = 24, Avg Site = 38) and he scored two TDs!

Any way you cut it, he has become another option for QB Matt Schaub as Walter is a good red zone target and remains involved in the offense. His status is elevated further this week as the Texans play against the Vikings 20th ranked pass defense.

WR NYG Steve Smith vs. Dallas (4for4 Weekly Rank = 37, Avg Site = 56)
Smith is making huge strides in the NYG offense and has become Manning’s go-to receiver when they need a big play. He had a nice game last week and he's someone to keep an eye on. With most FFers still seeing Smith as a #5 or #6 fantasy WR this week, he’s a bargain and the price is right.

TE Bo Scaife vs. Green Bay (4for4 Weekly Rank = 3, Avg Site = 8)
Scaife once again led the Titans with five catches and 44 yards. He’s obviously the top target for Collins and for two weeks in a row when the Titans did throw, tight ends were the main target. Scaife is becoming a nice option at the position and is a Top-5 TE play this week.
