When do you usually draft your Kicker? Three reasons why.
Draft him in the final 3-4 rounds.
1) For the most part, the average score of every kicker is about the same each week.
2) While there are some kickers with stronger legs, you can’t really predict games when a long FG will be made.
3) Backup RBs and WRs are more important on your roster than a kicker.

Top-4 Reasons you think JON KITNA is a bargain pick this year:
1) Offensive Coordinator is pass-happy Mike Martz.
2) He threw a ton last year – with franchise records in both attempts and completions. The Lions will probably be behind in a lot of games, meaning even more throwing opportunities for Kitna, who averaged 37 per-game last season.
3) He has a trio of great WRs to throw to in Roy Williams, Calvin Johnson and Mike Furrey, as well as Marcus Robinson and Shaun McDonald.
4) His RBs are shaky, with injured Kevin Jones and new acquisitions Tatum Bell and T.J. Duckett.
Top-5 Reasons FRANK GORE could be a Risky Pick
1) He’s already been injured.
2) Gore may have been over-worked last year, carrying the ball 312 times. Coach Mike Nolan wants to be sure he doesn’t wear out his back, so Gore’s rushing attempts per game is almost certain to drop this season.
3) While the 49ers offense has improved, they still doesn’t score very points.
4) The bad 49ers D will allow opponents to score plenty, so the offense will have to find a way to stay in games – with a more experienced QB, that will most likely come via the passing game.
5) He had 20 or more carries in only seven of last season’s 16 games. For a top-5 RB, you’d like to see the ball in his hands more often than that.
