Washington Post
on Anthony Wright reports: good news for
the backup QB is that the shoulder that caused him to miss
much of last season feels healthy. Wright will direct the
2nd-string offense for a 10-play series in the scrimmage on
Saturday, the first time he's faced an opponent in 20
months.

Baltimore Sun
: Both Ravens starter QB Kyle Boller and
backup Anthony Wright had trouble going through
progressions. Wright stared down WR Devard Darling so long
on a quick out that CB Deion Sanders intercepted the pass
and started high-stepping to the end zone in the morning
session. Boller threw into double coverage on a flea
flicker.

Baltimore Sun
on Anthony Wright: The injured right
shoulder, which caused the Ravens QB so much physical and
mental pain last season, is fully healed. The velocity on
his throws is back, the soreness that hampered his arm is
nowhere to be found and the opportunity for him to lead the
team again - as he did in '03 when starter Kyle Boller went
down with an injury - may arise this fall. Wright threw
every pass in his arsenal during the session. "Anthony
looks good," Ravens coach Billick said. "Getting thrown a
curve with his injury last year extended us a bit. But
Anthony looks healthy, has been here the whole time working
out, and we're very comfortable with Anthony here as our
backup. We think we have an excellent 1-2 punch."

Baltimore Sun
: Ravens Coach Billick said Kordell Stewart
could remain the backup QB for the rest of the season, but
the Ravens are committed to Anthony Wright at that spot for
next season. The Ravens are trying to find ways to get
Wright, who just came off the physically-unable-to-perform
list after shoulder surgery, back up to speed. As the third
QB, he is basically relegated to only playing in the fourth
quarter.

Baltimore Sun
on Anthony Wright: The Ravens officially
activated QB Anthony Wright from the physically-unable-to-
perform list and placed FB Ovie Mughelli on injured reserve
with a hamstring injury. Wright, though, will not be the #2
QB yet. "Anthony is not really in a position to come in and
play a game," Billick said. "He is cleared to play, but it
would not be prudent to put him in that situation. We're
still a little ways away. There is still soreness in the
arm. Kordell Stewart is our #2 and will likely be there for
a while."

Baltimore Sun
on Anthony Wright: The Ravens are going to
activate QB Wright off the physically unable to perform
list this week. Wright, who had offseason shoulder surgery,
could assume the # 2 job behind Kyle Boller, bumping
Stewart to the third spot. Last season, Wright took over
for the injured Boller and went 5-2, guiding the Ravens to
their first AFC North title.
