SF RB Shaun Draughn - Week 17, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Seattle
Draughn had 10 carries for 17 yards and though he did have six catches for 48 yards, he's just not going to provide much of a rushing option this week against Seattle as he replaces injured Carlos Hyde. He likely has a little more value in PPR leagues given his ability but even with 15 carries, he's no better than a low-end No. 2 rushing option this week against the Seahawks.

SF RB Shaun Draughn - Week 7, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Tampa Bay
Draughn got just one carry last week in Buffalo and will likely be in no more than a timeshare with Mike Davis this week with Carlos Hyde out of action. He likely will serve as a third-down back, but that won't get you enough points to put him in the lineup.

SF RB Shaun Draughn - Week 1, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Los Angeles
While starter Carlos Hyde is dealing with a concussion, Draughn is working his way through a rib issue. If Hyde doesn't play, Draughn should get 15-20 touches. That might make him good enough for at least a flex play. If Hyde does play, Draughn has little value this week.

SF RB Shaun Draughn - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

2016 Fantasy Outlook
Draughn didn't exactly light the world on fire last season averaging 3.5 yards per carry. But he's the clear cut backup to Carlos Hyde, who is, shall we say, a little injury-prone. If Hyde stays healthy, Draughn doesn't have a lot upside. But if Hyde goes down, Draughn should at least have value as a high-volume player.

SF RB Shaun Draughn - Week 15, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Cincinnati
The 49ers fell behind last week and Draughn got just 11 carries for 43 yards and two catches for eight yards. Cincinnati allows 4.4 yards per carry, but the Bengals defense should be playing with an edge given it will be playing without starting QB Andy Dalton. Draughn will have some success and if he can get between 15-20 touches, he should be good enough to use as a No. 2 back.

SF RB Shaun Draughn - Week 14, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Cleveland
Draughn failed to reach 20 touches for the first time since becoming a starter last month but had a solid day, producing 36 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries and catching five passes for 50 yards. Now, he faces a Cleveland defense that is 17th in points allowed to opposing running backs. Draughn has been a big part of the passing game, which makes him a solid start this week and a possibility to surpass 100 total yards for the first time.

SF RB Shaun Draughn - Week 13, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Chicago
Draughn has had 20 touches in all three of his starts, which is a rarity among running backs. He hasn't been a star, but did have 15 carries for 51 yards last week and added five catches for 35 yards. He still has yet to score this season and the Bears have given up just three rushing TDs this season. Draughn's touches make him a very solid flex play or low-end No. 2 RB.

SF RB Shaun Draughn - Week 12, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Arizona
Draughn had 12 carries for 37 yards last week at Seattle, adding eight catches for 40 yards as well. There's nothing wrong with that kind of game, especially in PPR leagues. Draughn now has 12 catches in his two starts and in its past three games, the leading receiver against the Cardinals has been a running back twice. Arizona also has allowed four rushing touchdowns in its past four games. Draughn is a nice sleeper start as a No. 2 back, especially in PPR leagues.

SF RB Shaun Draughn - Week 11, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Seattle
Draught had 58 yards on 16 carries starting for Carlos Hyde the last time out, adding four receptions for 38 yards. Arizona's backs pounded out 119 yards and a score on 30 attempts last week. But without much of a threat of a passing game, Draughn will likely struggle in this one.

CHI RB Shaun Draughn - Week 1, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Shaun Draughn - Week 1 vs. Buffalo Bills
Shaun Draughn won the backup job to Matt Forte, but that doesn't mean much on a week-to-week basis. Draughn will only have value once Forte gets injured.
