I have set my league's official rules into your Custom Value Based Rankings. I love it.

Just wondering, should I basically just take the top available guy in those rankings, and fill my positions from there, or should I still go with a set forth strategy?

The reason I ask is because, in my 16 team standard 6pt per passing td league (I draft 16th), the custom values are putting 15 of the top 20 picks as RB's, but everything I'm being told is to go WR heavy in the first 4-5 rounds. This was going to be strategy, but these custom Values are making me think otherwise.

Thanks for the help guys.

Yeah, rankings and strategy are a bit of a different animal to some extent, and it's especially apparent this year with the zero-RB strategy getting so much love. Try adjusting your lineup settings to something like 2.2 RB and 2.8 WR or something to that effect. That should help.

That being said, I wouldn't sacrifice value in order to follow your strategy. So if you're late in the draft and everyone has gone with WR's, then by all means grab someone like AP, David Johnson, Gurley, or Lamar Miller. Those are all quality players and there's nothing wrong with going that route. The rankings will help you identify value as you assess your strategy.

Not for nothing, I tend to like my team better when I get one of the aforementioned backs then when I take a second tier WR first overall.
