I have Carson Palmer and Andy Dalton as my QBs. This week I have a lot of players on bye as well as McCoy and KWilliams. If Williams can't go, I'll have to drop either Palmer or Dalton to make space for a RB in my starting lineup. It's a 12 team league, not much available on the waiver wire. I have a trade on the table though, Dalton for Chris Johnson. Not sure for how long though.
I can either wait it out for Williams and as a last resort take my chances with the wire and lose Dalton anyway or I can trade Dalton away for CJ. Advice? Thanks!
If Dalton is who you're going to drop and you're pretty sure you're not getting him back, then trading him makes a ton of sense. Johnson could be risky going forward with Ellington back but as of now he looks like he's going to get a bulk of early carries at least. At least you're getting something for a guy you'd lose anyway.
