gents,
Love y'alls work and looking forward to another successful FF year with you guys as my secret weapon.
I used Draft Analyzer for our draft and 4for4 rankings. Got a lot of funny looks but I felt confident coming out of the draft.
Here's what I ended up with.
Standard Scoring 10 Teams: 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1 WR/RB Flex, 1DST, 1K
Lacy
L.Miller
C. Ivory
D. Martin
R. Cobb
D.Hopkins
D. Jackson
J. Maclin
L. Fitzgerald
M. Bryant
D. Allen
Bradford
Palmer
Mia-DST
NE - DST
and no kicker.

Two questions:
-how do I decide who to let go for a kicker? I really like my bench. Is it as easy as looking at top 200 and dropping the last guy on the list?
-what steps/strategy should I use to select my weekly flex (RB/WR)? Not looking for start/sit, I'd prefer strategy for selecting the best flex.

thanks
carlos

Thanks for the kind words Carlos!

I think you have a great team. Your backs are great, and you're deep at WR, including having my personal love this year, DeAndre Hopkins. I think I would probably drop the NE defense. Usually there are enough matchup defenses sitting on the board during the bye weeks to get by, and I think the Miami defense should be a big surprise this year with the DL.

In a PPR league, I'd probably be looking at the best WR each week for your flex spot, but in a standard league, that's more likely to be Chris Ivory or Doug Martin. You're so deep at WR though, you might just want to look at carries and targets, combined with matchup. Opportunity rules in fantasy football, so aside from just going by the rankings, taking into consideration Doug Martin's work load vs. DeSean Jackson's targets will be a heavy factor in determining which guy you want to use week-to-week. For Week 1, I'd say just follow the rankings John puts out, and then start keeping track of which players are being used more or less than what was expected, and use that information to see who to start going forward.
