I'm not sure how every fantasy football hosting site works, but I believe it's fairly standard that one can add and remove players until that players game time. If that's how your league works, consider the following strategy. If you don't care who your kicker is, and besides maybe just a couple, you shouldn't, then you can drop your kicker for a player at another position to either block your opponent from getting him or to see if he goes off in the thursday night or early sunday games. Then, just drop someone from your bench and pick up an available kicker you think has a chance to score some points. For instance, I'm dropping my kicker for Derrick Henry. He plays tonight. If Demarco Murray tears his acl or gets some other serious injury, I've already got what would be the priority add for the week. If not, I'll just drop him and pick a kicker back up.
Looking ahead, if your opponent only rosters a single QB he's on a bye week, you can drop your kicker to pick up the QB you think he might like and then just drop him for a kicker on Saturday or even Sunday morning. Waiver rules make him unavailable to be picked up before his game would start.

That's something that a lot of people employ to a tremendous amount of success... I haven't thought of grabbing the RB handcuff before Thursday night before, but that's a great idea!

That's new strategy that I've never seen before. Does this work on ESPN?
