Don't forget to take into account that the rankings are full season expectations, but we play a week by week game. For example, Dion Lewis is projected to get 96 fantasy points in a ppr league. That averages out to 6 points per game. Of course, he's also expected to miss like 8 games so in reality, the expectation is he's going to score zero points in those first 8 games, then average maybe 12 points per game or so in the final eight. And the reverse is expected from James White, who will assume the pass catching rb role in Lewis' stead. White starts the season, Lewis ends it. Snag both of them late in the draft and you have legit RB2 ppr production that you paid nothin' to acquire. Also look at Demarco Murray and Derrick Henry. Murray is expected to start the season, while it wouldn't be a shock to anyone if Henry took over partway through the season for one reason or another.
My main point is is that if you just look at the rankings, it doesn't tell you the whole picture. James White is way down there at 55 in ppr rankings. But that ranking does not mean he's projected to be the 55th productive RB for the first half of the season. Basically all his fantasy points will be produced while Dion Lewis is recovering from his surgery. Do yourselves a favor and get these guys at tremendous value!
