Im in a keeper league where Passing TDs are 6points. Everyone in the league overvalues QBs - and there are very few available. I draft 5th overall and the top 2 QBs available are Luck and Brees. Next tier is Stafford and Cousins, everyone else is being kept.
Is it worth reaching for a QB like Luck in the 1st round? Brees and Luck will both be picked by the 2nd round if I don't pick a QB in the first. Other players available to draft are Bell or Charles.
My keepers are Ingram in the 6th round, Matt Jones in the 8th round, and Jordan Reed in the 9th.
Yeah, I'd probably rather just go after Winston and Taylor in that 9/10 round. I might even go after them both.
I like your keepers. I would probably go with Bell or Charles, but I tend to wait on QB anyway. I think with 6 points per passing TD, it doesn't change the value a lot to me since deep QB's are still putting up 30ish TDs on the regular.
I think it depends on who you think might be there late. I would be perfectly fine going with Cousins and/or Stafford. I've been fine grabbing guys like Rivers, Tyrod Taylor, Winston, Mariota late. Now, if all those guys are going earlier in your league, then I'm okay with taking Luck or Brees with your first pick (in that order), but if you think you can get someone in the 10th round of the Cousins/Winston/Eli/Rivers/Taylor ilk, then I'd just wait it out.
Thanks. Rivers and Eli are both being kept as well. Could prob grab Cousins in a mid round (6th/7th) or take a stafford/winston/taylor/romo in the 9th or 10th.
