Right now I have Blake Bortles starting. Hoyer is available on the waiver wire. My opponent this week has Hopkins going for him. Should I get Hoyer and hope he capitalizes on a poor New Orleans defense, or is it too risky with Hopkins possible of having a huge game and not spreading the ball around? So basically is it wise to start Hoyer going against Hopkins this week or would you steer away from that? Also Josh McCown is available on waivers. Sorry for long question, wanted to explain situation best I could. Thank you!!!

I don't think I'd start Hoyer to cancel Hopkins. But I tend to often not even consider that kind of strategy. I think in this case, you kind of nailed it, Hopkins could go for 8-150-1 and Hoyer may threw for 225 today. I think I'd just go with a safer QB option even with as great of a matchup it appears for Hoyer. I just can't see Hoyer lighting it up. Bortles probably the better play.
