I recently watched a Video on ESPN with Christopher Harris where he discussed watching film on David Carr and saying that he does not think he will be the 'Franchise QB that Oakland is looking for. He considers last years stats a fluke and Carr will regress this year. With that thought in mind, in my previous post I talked about L. Murray and how your rankings have him moving up from the #20 spot of running back. Many of the ESPN writer rankings have Gurley not far behind Murray and I am sure part if it is he will not start and may miss the first 4 games. I then saw another article on the top 10 running backs and Gurley was on the list. I currently have L. Murray who would count $15 towards my cap space. I think that once he gets on the field that Gurley has a better supporting cast and will undoubtedly pass L. Murray in total points for the season and beyond. No NFL experience for Gurley and limited for Murray. Drop Murray and go after Gurley ?

I like Murray a lot so I'd probably just stick with him. Gurley definitely has a lot of upside, but he's also going to be vying for touches with Tre Mason and that's once he's healthy. I know the Rams will give him the keys when he's ready, but Murray is already driving, and he has a pretty good supporting cast in his own right, despite how bad the Raiders perennially are.

If you feel great about Gurley, then it's not a terrible risk, but if it's one or the other, I'd probably rather have Murray.
