So, I won my league last year...and with my top performers its no wonder why. So now I have decisions. We play in a 3-man keeper PPR league with standard scoring (6pt TDs, 1pt per 10 yds; 1 pt per 25 yd passing). the guys I am choosing from are: D. Thomas, A. Peterson (yes, I keep him on my bench all year), Jimmy Graham, and Justin Forsett. I'm letting R. Wilson, Golden Tate, and Shane Vereen fall back into the pool.
I think I'm good in keeping Jimmy Graham. I am somewhat concerned about his new home, but I still feel he will see plenty of looks - especially in the red zone. Plus, the point disparity in TEs is too great to not hold onto one of the top guys at his position.
I think I'm also good with AP. A year off (fresh legs) with something to prove bodes well. Plus the new OC has a history of feeding the ball to his RBs...and passing to them, which in my PPR league is a good thing.
So I guess I'm really having a hard time figuring out my next keeper. Everyone says it's a no brainer to keep D. Thomas, but I am unsure how the new OC will handle things in Denver (run first), and last year D. Thomas had some horrible fantasy games. So I have a question mark there.
Justin Forsett was awesome last year. I expect that to only get better this season. Great HC and OC and he's a young stud. I think he can put up some monster numbers.
R. Wilson is intriguing as well. The top 5-6 scoring QB from last year is hard to throw away.
Thoughts? If I win again this year that will make 3 out of the last 4, and 7 out of the last 12 years. I am thinking of proposing a rule to name the Trophy after my team name...but that is a topic for another time.
(BTW - I've been using 4for4 all those years and equate my success with the value of this site! Thanks!!)
Lastly...will there still be PC Drafter this year?? Super mad if not...that tool was awesome - especially on draft night.
I love the idea of naming the trophy after you. I'm sure the rest of your league will love that. I may have to steal that idea...
As for PC Drafter, it won't be offered this year with the 4for4 subscription. You can still purchase it through their site though. Like you, it's my main source on draft day so when I found out I was bummed. But I have messed around a little with the new program we are giving away with a subscription and I'm optimistic about it. I think it will be easier to set up a league and have some more bells and whistles, but should offer the same 4for4 rankings and ease of drafting...
You do have a great team and lots of options. I'd probably go with AP and Forsett, but I'm a RB guy. However locking those guys up seems like you're off to a great start. You have some good guys but like you kind of said, there are risks with all of them it seems. I think if it's me I'm going with Thomas, AP and Forsett. I don't think I could argue going with Graham and the two RBs. It's a tough choice I will say. I would think Graham will produce similar numbers but something keeping me from being way more excited about that. I would monitor them all through camp. Not sure when your list needs to be in but I'd focus on Graham and Thomas and see how things are going with them.
