I am in a $200 salary cap / keeper type std scoring league and have both A. Brown and O Beckham Jr. along with J Reed for my aerial attack. I have D Johnson and L Murray who I hope I can keep as my three weapons are going to eat up about $130 of my cap space. Then D Johnson will take up another $35-$40 leaving me without much for a RB 2 . I have been playing in a FFL for about 15 years with 3 championships including last season. One of our league members stated that my victory was unusual as I did not have a RB in the top 5 in scoring for the season. Much has been written about the change towards a passing league in the NFL and the reduction of RB valuations and the days of a RB carrying the team a fast disappearing. Now D Murray is only two seasons removed form a tremendous season behind the Dallas O line. Would I be crazy to drop O Beckham Jr or A. Brown to have the cap space to draft E Elliot if he ends up in Dallas ?? A lot of conversation about him being something extraordinary as far as talent and intelligence. Probably so but having two #1 RB VS two #1 WR is something I believe John Paulson has done a study on and additional studies regarding this are forthcoming from what I have read. A RB is also more likely to get injured than a WR so a much higher risk from an injury stand point.

I don't think I'd give up a top WR that's proven at the NFL level for a rookie, no matter how good the player is. I think Elliott is legit, but in today's NFL, I worry about any player finding themselves in a committee approach. So many players don't get 20+ carries a game like they used to, and DMC played well enough last year that I think he could poach a few touches, even if Dallas grabs the Ohio State standout.

I think Elliott is a great prize, but you're talking about two of the best WR's in football right now. I'd stick with the guys you've got at the position and look to improve another way.
