Would you waste a waiver pick to pick up the Jets defense? I am streaming (Green Bay currently), and can afford to carry 2 defenses this week while the Jets are on bye. I'm also not sure anyone would pick them up and so I can try to let them slip through waivers and add them after. I know defenses can be volatile, but they have been so strong this year and seems to make sense to pick them up.
I agree with sbeezleton. I think you can afford to wait and see if he gets through waivers. If he doesn't, then it's not really a huge loss, and if he does, then win for you and you don't lose anything.
Depends on how important your waiver is to you. I would have to think they'd slip through waivers since they're on bye. If you have the top priority seems like it may be better to save it for a position player.
