This is my first time in an auction league. 12 teams in PPR. QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/TE/FLEX/FLEX/FLEX. A 2nd QB can be played in one of the FLEX positions. QB TD's are worth 4 others are worth 6. Rookies auctioned are on a 5 year contract, and everyone else is a 3 year.
What are some guys you would target in a league format like this? Even though we could start two QB's, I was thinking of going QB a little later.
I agree with Scott, and to piggy-back, Eli Manning is usually pretty good in these leagues and he can usually be had for very little. I wouldn't say to target him, but he seems to be a guy that drops farther than I expect him to every year, and yet he quietly puts in solid seasons.
I think for leagues like this what we usually try to recommend is get at least one pretty good QB. I have a feeling in your league, QBs will go fast because you can play two of them, so teams will likely feel the need to have three on their roster so they can play two every week. I don't necessarily disagree, but I don't think it's terribly necessary to have 3 on your roster. Depending on who you end up with, you may not feel the need to play a second one every single week. So, I'd try to at least get a pretty good one and then see how things shake out with your second QB. Wait, but don't wait real long.
I'm not sure by your question if you're looking for QB names or overall names in general in terms of who to target, but in terms of QBs to get later, I like Carr, Cousins, Dalton, Ryan, Tannehill and even Jay Cutler. Cutler may be someone you can get real cheap but who should have a lot of weapons.
