12 team league, standard scoring. QB, 3WR, 2RB, TE, W/R/T, Q/W/R/T.

The good news is I have a good trio of QBs in Rodgers, Cutler, A.Smith, much better than most teams for this format. The bad news is my top WRs are P.Garcon, P.Harvin, T.Williams, and my TE is C.Clay. I'm fine with Ball/Morries/CJ as my top RBs. So I'm considering offering some combo including a QB to upgrade @ WR and/or TE. My question is, if I can land a similar WR by dealing either Cutler or Smith, do I take into account that Cutler and Rodgers have the same bye week, and therefore deal Cutler and save Smith, even though I like Cutler quite a bit than Smith? If I deal Smith, I do have the option of picking up Cassel/Bridgewater for their wk 9 bye. Or do do nothing and see what happens?

I would trade Smith if you trade any of them. I think Cassel/Bridgewater will be just as good as Smith anyway, so I don't think that's a bad swap at all. The problem there is that you may need to roster both of them in your league, and I don't know how much space you've got to do that.

I like your WR's a little better than you do. Harvin is scary with upside, but Williams could really do something this year, and Garcon has quietly been stellar the last couple of years, and he was fantastic last season despite all the Washington turmoil.

I'd probably hold off right now, unless the right offer comes along for Smith. Otherwise, I'd be looking at waiting until C.J. Spiller has a big game, and selling high on him.
