Travis Kelce getting a ton of buzz due to his preseason performance, yet he is consistently ranked at TE-20 or worse. What would you now say are the odds of him breaking the top 14 TE's for the season??
Thanks.
Maybe 30%? There's so much depth at the TE position, and the Chiefs offense (outside of Charles) isn't exactly setting records with Alex Smith at the helm, so I think Kelce getting up into the Vernon Davis/Charles Clay range is a bit of a stretch.
However, I think he definitely has potential as a high upside TE2 to draft in case he blows up. And it's much more likely I think that he's a top 20 guy, in the Delanie Walker range.
