My league is 12 teams, with no flex (QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE). The VBR and PC Drafter both have QB's rated very high, with Manning 4th overall in VBR. Does the wait on QB approach still hold here? Should I be valuing a guy like Montee Ball over a steady QB like Manning?

I like that strategy but you may prefer different. I've got QBs like Foles, Brady, Cam, later on and I'm happy to go that way. One time Brees fell to the third and I took him but outside of that I've waited most of the time.

I still value backs and receivers in these situations, but I think Manning is a great player worth an early pick.

4 seems a bit high for me though. With at least two of the top five backs on the board, I'd be way more interested in going that route, even with the 6pts per passing touchdown. I think 7 is the earliest I'd even think about Manning, and I'd personally risk a guy like Ball, D. Thomas, Lynch, and other similar valued players over Manning.

Every time I draft a QB early, I'm shaking my head later at all the good QB's available in the later rounds.
