Good Morning Scouts!

So in one of my leagues we draft 3 IDP's but there are no restrictions on the position [we can have 3 LB's or 1 DL and 2 LB's or 1 DL, 1 LB and 1 DB, etc.] and I am trying to figure out if I should have 3 LB's or mix it up and have 1 of each [1 LB, DL and DB]. Right now I have Jerod Mayo, Harrison Smith and Von Miller but I am thinking about dropping Miller for Chandler Jones. Our scoring on DEF is as follows....

Defensive Players League Value
Tackle Solo 1
Tackle Assist .5
Interception 3
Fumble Force 3
Fumble Recovery 3
Defensive Touchdown 6
Safety 6
Pass Defended 1
Block Kick 4

Chandler Jones is very, very valuable because he outproduces everyone else at his position as a DL guy. Especially with the Pats likely going back to a 34 style defense, you get an OLB at a DL position.

Up against Von Miller however, in a league where you can play all tackling monsters, I think Jones' value goes down a bit. Let's say Miller gets back to his 2011 or 2012 form and gets around 50 tackles and about 11-15 sacks. Those are numbers that Chandler Jones couldn't beat last year, and he had a phenomenal year!

While Miller has some risk coming off a down year, I think you're going to get 10-20% more tackles with Miller and the same likelihood of your other scoring plays as you get with Jones. I would probably roll with Miller as a result, and Mayo and Harrison Smith are too good to drop. You've got studs. I'd keep them.
