Hey Scott and Brandon,

Need advice on the best method of ranking my draft board for my 12-team PPR league that starts 1QB, 1RB, 1WR, 1TE, and 3flex (RB/WR) (RB/WR/TE) (QB/RB/WR/TE) plus 1K, 1DST, and 2-flex IDPs with 4 bench spots. (15 roster spots total)

My dilemma is that PPR rankings only give me part of the story while 2-QB rankings (due to our superflex) tell something quite different. I've tried to collate these two rankings into my own list with some success but I wanted to ask what method you guys would suggest I try.

I've dabbled a bit with my own VBD system but I'm not sure if my priority of positions are accurate. I'm thinking two QB1's if I can get them are the top priority, otherwise, I think loading up on WRs and going with only one starting RB would give me the best scoring option.

Am I on the right path here or should I try something different and how would I go about ranking it to fit that plan?

That's awesome that you get Gronk with an 8th, and ODB is gonna be a popular keeper in every league this year as well.

I think you should go after Bell with your other keepers. Evans and Matthews both are really appealing to me for what they cost (in that order) and if you can turn them into LeVeon Bell then I love it for you. With keeping ODB, then would Bell then cost you a 6th? I'm good with that, but just making sure I understand.

If you can't turn that trade, then I'm absolutely fine with keeping a second receiver, with Evans being my preference.

I think with your league, you can luckily view RB's and WR's interchangeably. So while loading up on WR's in theory makes sense, I'd just view them all as one category essentially, making sure you get at least one good pass catching back in the process. Not really different than what you said, but a slightly different thought process.

I think getting two QB1's would be huge in your league. However, don't reach for that. QB should still be a pretty deep position next year. If you can lock up Rodgers and Luck or something to that effect, then I'm good with using early draft choices to do so. However, if the rest of your league goes after those guys, don't give up a top 10 back in order to scramble into Russell Wilson and Tom Brady, you know?

I ultimately think you're on the right track. Try putting the QB settings in our Full Impact tool at 2.0, 1.75 for RB's and 2.25 for WR's. That might give you a little better look at what you need. While it'll still skew QB's, and lower running backs, I think it should give you a nice system to roll with. Don't reach! :)

I appreciate the advice Brandon. I do have a follow up questions if I may?

My league allows up to 3 keepers that cost one higher round each year. I'm obviously keeping Beckham with a 7th, and Gronk with an 8th but I have several options for my third keeper.

I can either keep Evans for a 13th, Jordan Matthews for a 12th, Jarvis Landry for a 10th, Hyde, Crowell, or Allen Robinson for a 15th OR I can trade any or all of those players to other teams for a third keeper or draft picks. We own the rights to each of these players until our league draft and any non-keepers re-enter the draft.

I could target Leveon Bell (costs a 7th), who would be a rival team's keeper, in a trade instead. This would give me a stud at WR, RB, and TE before I even begin my draft and allow me to either take those two early QBs or simply go with the BPA.

So my question is, would you keep a 2nd WR in Evans and release those other players back into the draft so that I could redraft them later, or use those pieces as keeper options to a rival team in a trade for Bell?
