OUr league gives 2 points per tackle and 1 point per assist. The IDP position gives major points week in and week out. Heavy tackle guys can give up to 18 points to 30 points a week. I currently own LaVonte David who gives me over 20 points weekly.
Can I drop Vereen to pick up SF Chris Borland a second IDP who is averaging 30 points per game since he took over Patrick Willis spot. I don't really need a second IDP but i certainly don't want him to fall into my opponents hands therefore cannot drop LaVonte Davis either for obvious reasons.

I just need someone not so close to my team to tell me if I am crazy or not. Not sure Borland will continue delivering 30 points each week but I cannot take that chance.
Vereen i thought is most expendable especially since Blount just went back to NE. I barely start Vereen already!
The other option is wait until tomorrow or Saturday and see if Julius Thomas practices. Then I can drop Tamme but I need to be prepared if JT becomes a game time decision.
Am I over thinking this?
I think you're playing the game, which is fine. I like the value Vereen gives you more than the value you get from having a second IDP player on your roster. However, in this case, you're not going to use Vereen probably at any point the rest of the way, so I don't think it really hurts you. I'd only be worried that you're helping RB needy teams, but I guess it's that way either way.
