I have Jamaal Charles in my flex spot tonight since I was not sure if he was going to play, and so that I had an option to swap him out if needed. I only need 4.3 points to win the week.

I do not have Knile Davis, but do have free agents available to pick up if needed before gametime . If Jamaal is a late scratch (or if you think I should be playing someone less risky that will guarantee me 4.3 points), who should I play in his place out of these choices (Standard scoring):

Dwane Bowe
Donnie Avery
Cyrus Grey
Anthony Fasano

Brandon Bolden
Brandon LaFell
Kenbrell Thompkins
Tim Wright

I only need 4.3 points.

Avery is the guy for me if Jamaal is out. But if he plays, I think he needs to be the guy that goes in. It's a concern that he may leave early, but I think that's just the risk this week.

I hope he plays and goes off for you!

Thanks for the recommendation. The way I see it is if Jamaal plays, I can't NOT play him. RB1, my overall first pick. I am just nervous that even if he does play, he will re-injure right away and be out. If he is healthy throughout the game, I have no doubt that he gets double digit points this week against a shaky NE Defense that is ranked 30th in the league against the run (thanks, 4for4 aFPA :)

I guess that's just how Fantasy works though!

Jamaal should get you those points. Sounds like he could have played last week if they really needed him. In the case of something unexpected, I think it would be wise to lean towards Bowe or Avery. Patriots other than Gronk and Edelman are too unpredictable.
