In all fairness to Lacy it would appear that even though he has faced three tough defenses, he suffered a concussion week 1. We have all heard about the NFL protocol for evaluating players with concussions and that Lacy passed all testing with no difficulty. Is it possible that his most recent game showed that he is having Post Concussive Syndrome ? Here is line from the Wikipedia definition regarding PCS (The condition is associated with a wide range of symptoms: physical, such as headache; cognitive, such as difficulty concentrating; and emotional and behavioral, such as irritability.) The key words here are; cognitive and difficulty concentrating. Considering McCarthy's comments and the fumble, just a slight amount of cognitive difficulty may be the issue in real game situations. The Chicago game should tell us if he can bounce back. Time will tell..............

Interesting theory. I don't presume to know the business of NFL trainers and medical personnel, but it's certainly possible.

I think the matchups have been bad, but it's interesting that he looked very good against Seattle (before the concussion) and has been flat since. I tend to think he'll get it together. We've seen Starks get his chance to be the lead back before, and it never ends well. Green Bay is gonna figure it out at some point, and Lacy will benefit.
