I have S. Vereen in a standard 10 team league and considering picking up D. Sproles (still available in our league) who looks to be an integral part of Chip Kelly's offense. I can not say that for Vereen and every other week or what direction the wind blows just does not do for me. The RB inconsistency is nothing new in Belichick's offense so I wish to find a better solution.
Only 2 weeks of data but time is short and others are going to be desperate to replace injured RB's. The lousy totals from Lacy along with Ellington's injury have not given me any confidence that those two will carry my team very far.
I think Lacy will be fine, but I think it's a good idea to pick up Sproles. I think you're absolutely right that he'll continue to be a part of that offense, especially with he and Shady lining up in the backfield together on several snaps a game. I think it's fair to say Sproles isn't as done as maybe a lot of us thought he was.
