2022 Fantasy Upside
Wil Lutz has been one of the more reliable kickers since entering the league in 2016, hitting at least 80% of his attempts in all five seasons he has played in. And being in New Orleans, weather usually isn’t a factor, especially with the Saints having nine home games this season plus Atlanta having a dome, Tampa typically being nice, and Carolina usually good as well.

2022 Fantasy Downside
While weather usually isn’t a factor for the Saints and their kickers, one thing to keep in mind with Lutz this season is the Saints will visit Cleveland in Week 16 and Philadelphia in Week 17, so anything is possible those weeks. Lutz also missed the entire 2021 season due to a groin injury.

2022 Bottom Line
Lutz should be recovered from his groin injury and should be back in the fold as the Saints’ kicker. But we know these aren’t the old Saints anymore of Sean Payton and Drew Brees, so points won’t be as plentiful as they once were. As a result, we currently have Lutz just inside the top 20 kickers.
