Redskins re-sign TE Niles Paul to a three-year deal

Adam Schefter, Twitter - [Full Article]

TE Niles Paul resigns with Redskins, a three-year deal that can earn him up to just under $10 million, per source.

Fantasy Impact:

Jordan Reed is signed through 2016, so Paul's upside is limited as long as Reed stays healthy. Since Reed hasn't played more than 11 games in either of his two NFL seasons, his owners should keep Paul on speed dial. In best ball formats, the Reed/Paul combo scored 159 points in PPR formats, which equates to #11 TE-type numbers.

Scouting Report

Week 13 - Paul vs. Indy
Niles Paul had just one catch for 11 yards last week against the Niners. Once a position of strength in the Skins offense, the TE has pretty much disappeared since the middle of the season. Paul did a great job filling in for Jordan Reed early in the year, but really since Week 4 hasn't been on the fantasy radar and you'll find him way down our TE list this week. He's not a safe option right now.
