Woodson expected to play this weekend for Packers

The biggest injury question facing the Packers is the status of safety Derrick Martin, a special teamsstandout.

He missed Sunday’s regular-season finale because of the sprained ankle he sustained Dec. 27 against Seattle.

Martin was out of the walking boot he wore all last week and even though he was the only player who didn’t practice Wednesday, he insisted he would play against the Cardinals.

“I tested it (Wednesday), and it felt good,” Martin said. “I guess we’re going to test it again on Friday. If it feels good again, they’ll let me go.”

Pickett, who also sat out last week because of his recurring hamstring injury, practiced on a limited basis and seemed certain to play. Others who were limited were left tackle Chad Clifton (knee), defensive endJohnny Jolly (foot), defensive end Michael Montgomery (ankle) and cornerback Charles Woodson (shoulder). All are expected to be available this week.

Coach Mike McCarthy didn’t think Woodson, who reinjured his ailing right shoulder last Sunday, would be hampered by the injury.
