Washington HC Jay Gruden said that they will continue to work on getting the ball to WR DeSean Jackson.
“There are some other things we need to try moving forward to get him the ball because he’s electric when he gets the ball,” said Gruden. “It’s good to see him out there. He competed very well.”
Gruden added that short passes aren't a bad thing but that was all QB Robert Griffin III was able to get to Jackson as the Texans took away the deep threat. Jackson didn't finish with bad numbers but it sounds like the Redskins want to work on getting him free in space. The potential loss of TE Jordan Reed and RGIII's struggles certainly aren't helping Jackson.
