Since the Vikings lost last night, Cardinals HC Whisenhunt will try his best to win this week. A Dallas victory over the Eagles and a Cardinals victory would give the Cardinals a No. 2 seed and a bye. The history of teams with byes in the first round hasn't been good lately ( Giants, Carolina lost last year, Dallas the year before

How about guys who could use an extra week of rest, such as cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (toe) or defensive end Darnell Dockett, who is nursing a variety of bruises and strains?

The Cardinals haven't had a week off since the bye in week four. There are a lot of players who need rest. But Whisenhunt acknowledged Monday that resting starters carries some risk. He think this offense is close to finding a good rhythm and he doesn't want to put that in jeopardy.
