Vikings intend to "keep feeding" Cordarelle Patterson

Friday, Vikings WR Cordarelle Patterson showed his progression as a receiver might not be as far off as some projected. He had a team-high four catches on eight targets for 54 yards.

"We felt like he was going to have a chance to be a good returner early on," HC Leslie Frazier said. "We weren't sure how fast he'd come as a receiver. For him to do what he did tonight, that's going to help his confidence. I'm sure he'll go back and work even harder to be more of a complete receiver. That's exactly what you want out of a rookie playing wide receiver in our league. He's going to be hungry coming back and we've just got to keep feeding him to help him to continue to grow."

Fantasy Impact:

Frazier's comments about Patterson's progression as a receiver are telling. It sounds as if the rookie is further along than the team expected. The Vikings' passing game is not exciting, but Patterson could be fantasy relevant if he gets starter snaps.
