49ers tight end Vernon Davis departed early after suffering a hamstring injury. He was the intended target on Colin Kaepernick’s second interception of the game early in the fourth quarter.
On the 49ers’ next drive, NBC’s Michelle Tafoya reported that Davis had ice on his leg and had been ruled out.
CSN Bay Area is reporting the injury is a "strain." His Week 3 status is in doubt so this needs to be monitored as the week goes on. Vance McDonald, who the 9ers drafted in the third round this year, would step in next if Davis can't play.
