Travis Beckum will start at tight end for the Giants Monday night. Beckum weighs around 235 pounds, making him one of the NFL’s slighter at the position.
Monday’s game against the Bears will be an important audition for Beckum, who takes over as No. 1 on the depth chart after Kevin Boss signed with the Raiders.
The Giants are hoping they do not need to significantly alter their offense for Beckum, who missed last week with a hamstring injury and has 21 career catches in two seasons.
Beckum is said to have good pass-catching abilities, but right now he's not much of an option in standard leagues. He's on the rise on our charts, but still only ranks 24th, making him a TE3. Most leagues just don't go that deep with their tight ends.
