Tony Romo threw for the first time Sunday. He had X-rays on his fractured left clavicle on Monday. But nothing has changed on when he might return.
It is routine for additional X-rays just to see how the fracture is healing, according to a source. It is not an indication that Romo might return sooner than expected.
The bone still needs to heal fully, and thus, the Cowboys don't expect Romo back before the Christmas Day matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. And the Cowboys still could decide it is not worth the risk for Romo to return this season, healthy or not, if they are out of the playoff race by then.
