Tomlinson's future uncertain after loss

The pause may have been more telling than Ladainian Tomlinson's answer. In the aftermath of Sunday's 17-14 loss to the New York Jets in the AFC divisional playoffs on Sunday, the Chargers' all-time leading rusher stepped up to the podium and addressed his future in San Diego.

"I can't tell you that right now," the 30-year-old Tomlinson said after a 4-second pause.

"Obviously, I have the passion in me," he said. "But when this happens, it takes a lot out of you, mentally and physically. It has a toll on you to lose like this."
